BULLDOGS TO RELY ON NEW GRID TALENT Only Four Lettermen On Columbus Team Which Is To Invade Citv To Meet Cubs COLUMBUS, Sept. 14 The Columbus high school Bull Dog grid-ders were fast rounding into snaps today for their opening game of the season Friday afternoon at Franklin. Because of the vast amount of new talent in the ranks, it is difficult to make any advance forecasts on the season, but Coach Glenn Adams is reasonably well satisfied with the outlook. The team was on vvo-practice-a-day routine for the first two weeks of practice.

However since school opened Monday the squad was sent through only one daily workout this week. Under the weather due to an attack of intestinal flu, Johnny Hogue, leading candidate for one of the backfield positions on the team, was absent from practice last week. Hogue saw quite a bit of action last year and is being groomed as a starter. ISackfiehl Prospects In the ball-carrying department Coach Adams is also banking on Bill Herun, Ted Snively and Ross Percifield. letter winners last fall.

Glenn Line. 195 pound tackle, is the only returning letterman in the line. One newcomer to the squad is Don Gilmore, 103-pound sophomore, a member of the Broad Ripple high school squad at Indiana poli last year.
