The University through its Junior (Freshman Division, county high school principals have been advised, has set up a state-wide program, optional with the high schools. The Division without cost to the school or student will aid the school in identifying taiented students and provide specialized testing and counseling of such students so that they may develop their full potential.

Designated by the University as the "Location of Talented Students (LOTS)" program, it offers high schools more specialized student testing than many high schools can provide, services of counselors with much experience in working with talented students, relief for high school staffs of counseling time which can be devoted 'to other students, and help to high schools in demonstrating to parents school interest in talented students and their welfare. Talented students will be determined by recognized Generally they are those with an IQ of 120 or more, and having more than average tilent, as evaluated by teachers, for work niscience, music, art; creative writing, or other special jfields. Evening classes will begin at Indiana University Sixteen evening classes- selected from the areas of business, English, fine arts, recreation, home economics and music will be offered for credit the second semester by Indiana University's Division of University Extension on the Bloomington campus. Secretarial courses available include a familiarization course in the use of business machines; beginning intermediate and advanced "typing; and beginning and intermediate shorthand. A special course in spoken English is planned for foreigners in the' community who are not enrolled in the University as candidates for a degree.

Also scheduled are classes in pottery, driver training, beginning and intermediate swimming for women, clothing (selection, alteration and fitting), and auditoriuum music series. The two-hour music course is designed to improve listening traits. Registration is planned for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3.
