Mr. Bedwell was born in Jackson County July 12, 1934, the son of the late Clifford E. Bedwell and Irene Emmons Bedwell Goddard. A former resident of Indianapolis, North Vernon and Columbus, Mrs. Donica retired in 1975 after being a librarian's assistant at Washington Township Schools in Indianapolis for several years. She was a graduate of Franklin schools and a member of Eastside Christian Church in Lake Placid. Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m.

Other survivors include a daughter, Brenda J. Campbell of Greenwood; a son, Harold E. Rogers of Zionsville; a sister, Eleanor Karr of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin E. Scott.

Vernco Corp. retiree Rose M. Elder Colonial Court Rose M. Elder, 79, of Colonial Court died at 10:55 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2000, at her home.

She retired from Vernco Corp. and was a member of Women of the Moose. Memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Inlow Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. John RuJand officiating.

She married James F. Elder Dec. 31, 1949. He died Oct. 12, 1980.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Stevens, with whom she made her home, and sisters, Ann Lyones of Missouri and Dorothy Mae Sibgel of Colorado. Farmers Marketing retiree Jasper 'Red' Layton Seymour SEYMOUR Jasper Dahmert "Red" Layton, 87, of Seymour died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2000, at his home Mr. Layton retired from Farmers Marketing Association in Columbus where he was an eleva tor operator in the feed mill department for 17 years. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Rockcreek Methodist Church in Jenning County.

Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, with the Rev. Marsha Rodenberger officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
