Grandmothers are Leatha Beabout and Mary Dooley, both of Columbus. Staff Sgt Patrick McCammon re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Feb.

18 during Operation Desert McCammon is a 1974 graduate of Jennings County High School and entered the Air Force in 1977. He is a combat weapons instructor. Brown recently completed a 47-day tour of duty at Elsworth Air Force Base, S.D., in support of Operation Desert Storm. He is a security specialist with the 434th Security Police Flight, one of 16 reserve security police units mobilized to augment security police squadrons that had been deployed to Saudi Arabia. Brown is a training officer with the Columbus Police Department Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt James A.

George of Seminary Street Hope. Thomas A. Valentine Jr. recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Students compete in Ivy Tech contest High school students from around the area are competing in Ivy Tech's 1991 Drafting Fair Contest from 8 a.m. to noon today at the campus on Central Avenue. Students compete in mechanical drafting and architectural drafting categories with advanced and beginning levels of competition in each area. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place in both categories and at each level A traveling trophy will be presented to the school that scores the highest overall point total. The school's name will be engraved on the trophy and will go to the school for display until next year's competition.

Youth Exchange seeks host families Youth Exchange Service Inc. of Newport Beach, Calif, is seeking families to be hosts to teen-age exchange students from Asia, Europe, South America or Mexico. The students, ages 15 to 18, are scheduled to arrive in August for the 1991-92 school year. Each is carefully screened, brings his or her own spending money and is fully covered by insurance. Youth Exchange Serivce is a non-profit program that has been placing exchange students for 17 years.

The students, ages 15 through 17, will arrive in the United States in August, attend a local high school and return to their home countries in June 1992. The students are fluent in English, have been screened by their school representatives in their home countries, have spending money and medical insurance. Host families may deduct $50 per month for income purposes.
