If you have been to house, likely recall how she immediately came to greet you with a hug and a genuine, are You may also remember the smell of her cooking, which she graciously let you sample, or the sight of her latest colorful knitting project, which is probably for you. No one who ever came to house left with an empty stomach or empty heart. Though we will never hear her laugh or see her smile again, her spirit lives on in the hearts and hands of her family, who continue knitting, cooking, living, and crafting in her memory. Kathy is survived by, Larry, her husband of 46 years; two daughters, Julie Calfee (Bob Hult) and Dana Calfee (Paul Austin, Patrick Nyffeler); son, Adam (Heather); grandchildren, Rebecca Kathleen Austin, Jonah Calfee Austin, Eryn Kathleen Calfee, Madyson Grace Calfee and Lucy Pearl Nyffeler; very good friends, Macey Golden and Maddox Hult; sister, Shelli Loheide (Steve); brother, Stuart Douglas (Janelle) of Dallas, TX; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

www.jewellrittman.com Yolanda Delks Jacksonville, Fla. Yolanda L. Delks, 80, of Jacksonville, formerly of Columbus, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Beaches Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Delks was a member of First Christian Church and Loyal Couples Class and for several years served on the Council of the church. She also was a member of Columbus Eagles Lodge. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with Dan Wallace officiating.

Private inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Born in Crawfordsville Oct. 8, 1932, Mrs. Delks was the daughter of Carl and Emma Wilkerson Earl.

She married Richard L. Delks Feb. 12, 1952, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2011.

She is survived by sons, Gary (Monica) Delks of Cambridge City, IN, Gregory (Susie) Delks of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Jeff (Marilyn) Delks of Paola, KN; a sister, Sharon (Joe) Archer of Sebring, FL; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Richard Earl. www.myers-reed.com Daniel Dunham Edinburgh Daniel Lee Dunham, 63, of Edinburgh, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at his home. Mr.

Dunham was a 1967 graduate of Southwestern High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, with calling from 5 p.m. until service time.

Born in Johnson County Feb. 23, 1949, Mr. Dunham was the son of Vernon Dunham and Jane M. Bills Dunham. He is survived by his father, of Edinburgh; a daughter, Michelle (Robert) Riedel of Commiskey; his former wife, Susan Dunham of Edinburgh; sisters, Marjorie Jane (Chuck) Klotz of Waterloo, Diana K.

(Stephen) Smith of Franklin and Dale Ann (Mike) McCain of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Nickolas Piercefield and Liam Riedel; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mabel Frye Columbus Mabel L. Sisson Frye, age 83, of Columbus, formerly of Brown County and Martinsville, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Born August 25, 1929, in Brown County, she was the daughter of Oral and Florence (Bradley) Voland. She was a homemaker but had formerly worked as a salesperson for Jewelry in the Edinburgh Mall and as a hostess at the Brown County Inn. She was an avid Bingo player and loved to baby-sit her great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Frye of Columbus; two sons, Albert (Barbara) Sisson of Columbus and Harold (Cathy) Sisson of Greenwood; two daughters, Beverly Harvey of Columbus and Debra Sisson of Knoxville, eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin Sisson, in 1993; one son, Bruce Sisson; one grandson, Thomas Sisson; three brothers, Howard Voland, Elmo Voland and Elmer Voland; and one son-in-law, Larry Harvey.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bond- Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Pastor Gary Sisson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Survivors include his mother, Jane Elizabeth Sharp Hart of Columbus; a sister, Melissa J. (William) Burton of Columbus; and a grandmother, Anna E.

Sharp of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Roscoe Hart. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. There will be no funeral service.

Cremation is planned. Mary Hill Hanover Mary K. Hill, 50, of Hanover, died at 1:37 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation.

Survivors include her sisters, Helen (James) Turner of Scipio and Marge Graham of Greensburg; brothers, Ray (Vicky) Gribbons of Wisconsin and John Gribbons of Bedford; and children, Marie Rousch of Hanover, Mary Lucas of Hanover and Angela Reedy of Madison. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street, with calling from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Frances Himes Nashville Frances Lucille Himes, 90, of Nashville, IN, died in Cincinnati, Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, after battling Disease for several years. She was born April 2, 1922, in Knoxville, TN, to Archie Jett and Eva Alice (Brown) Wallace. Frances was a 1940 graduate of Central High School in Fountain City, TN. She was married to Robert W.

Himes for 65 years. The highlight of their life was the 45 years they lived in their lovely Brown County residence. During that time Frances entertained hundreds of out-of-town guests as well as locals. She was known for her sweet hospitality and southern style cooking. She supported the many activities of her husband in the community and those of her children.

She was a member of Nashville Christian Church. She was a devoted mother to her four children, Roger (Patricia) Himes of Powell, Ohio, Carolyn (Drake) Dingeman of Springfield, Ohio, Warren (Lynn) Himes of Shelbyville, IN, and Richard (Julie) Himes of Cincinnati. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The service to celebrate life will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb.

21, 2013, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be in Knoxville, TN, on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Lutheran Church and a former member of St. Lutheran Church in Jonesville. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Amos Rippy; daughters, Janet Rippy (Fredrick) Hohlt of Indianapolis and Sally (Bruce) Riddle of Columbus; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Silcox, 65, of Indianapolis, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Indianapolis. Howard was a former deputy sheriff in Tennessee and did masonry work. He was a veteran of the U.S.

Army and volunteered to serve three tours in Vietnam. After moving to the Indianapolis area in 1987, he became a carpenter and home builder. Howard was a member of the House of Victory Church in Southport. He loved playing his guitar, mimicking Jimmi Hendrix by playing his right-handed guitar with his left hand. Howard was a devoted father, husband and grandfather.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Jubilee Full Gospel Church, 1006 Laurel Drive in Indianapolis, with Dianna Silcox and Pastor Eddie Carr officiating. Calling will be at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.

Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, Disabled Veterans LIFE Memorial Foundation P.O. Box 66395, Washington, D.C. 20035-6395. Please send flowers directly to the church.

Born in Carthage, Feb. 9, 1948, Mr. Silcox was the son of Rucker D. Silcox and Ruby Mazille Silcox. He married Dianna C.

Smith June 24, 1988. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Michael Silcox of Columbus, IN, John R. Gimbel Jr. and Bo (Tonya) Gimbel, all of Indianapolis; daughters, Stephanie Silcox-Castro of Indianapolis, IN, Michelle (Eddie Jr.) Carr and Renea (Richard Lawrence) Silcox, all of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren and one expected.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tiffanie Lynn Silcox. Stratton, 84, of State Road 46, died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Feb.

18, 2013, at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon. Harold retired from Cosco in 1989 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for 35 years and song leader. He loved to mow lawns and do other yard work and loved going on vacation together with his family. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m.

Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Born in Muncie, Sept. 15, 1928, Harold was the son of Clarence and Elizabeth Stratton. He married Jeanette Newland July 2, 1950. She survives.

Burial was at Garland Brook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shane Bryant, Coty Bryant, Brian Riley, Bruce Phillips, Scottie Bryant, Johnnie Bryant Bryant Kerns and Richard Hamilton. Mrs. Bryant died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
